PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

 

This product is fibrous, containing a high percentage of woody material.  It is highly effective for mulching and erosion control and is very economical and commonly used for garden paths, mulching tree basins and large non-landscaped areas such as roadway medians and right of ways.  If placed sufficiently dense, it will retard weed growth while providing the other benefits of mulching.  This product does not lend itself to tight specification, but does lend itself to a tight budget.  This product is not recommended for playground use.  Application rates are recommended at a minimum of 3 cubic yards per 1,000 square feet, which will provide 1 inch of mulch depth, to as much as 12 cubic yards per 1,000 square feet, which will provide up to 4 inches of mulch depth.
